This June 8th-9th is the highly anticipated World Oceans Day. The Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, California has a special evening planned to celebrate the ocean and promote conservation of Earth's most important resource. World Ocean's Day is an international event and is recognized by the United Nations, and celebrated at aquariums and zoos across the globe. The Monterey Bay Aquarium has a special day planned for visitors so we can all celebrate this amazing ecosystem together.

From 9am to 6pm there will be live performances by the group ZunZun, who specialize in steel drums. There will also be a presentation by Bryant Austin, the only photographer in the world to take high-resolution photographs of whales in the ocean. Join a Turtle Talk and meet turtles up-close while you learn all about their habits from a member of staff. There will be crafts, cooking shows, and information on ocean conservation available throughout the day.

Celebrate the ocean at Monterey Bay Aquarium on World Oceans Day, and let us stand together to protect this amazing piece of our world.
