1. Establishment - The city of Nonthaburi was known as Ban Talat Khwan which is translated as Talat Khwan Village. It was established in 1549 by Ayutthaya Kingdom and was until 19th century a sleepy fishing village.

2. Climate - Nonthaburi is characterized with warm tropical climate that features a dry and hot season as well as Rainy season. The weather is ideal for visiting the country any time of the year. The rainy season starts on March and ends in October. It is therefore advisable to visit the country from November to early march.
